Kanzlei Dr. Cordt

Employment law shaped by experience on both sides

Kanzlei Dr. Cordt combines specialised employment-law advice with experience from international companies and real entrepreneurial responsibility.

The lawyers

Employment law with corporate and entrepreneurial experience

Our professional backgrounds shape the way we assess employment relationships, negotiations and personnel decisions.

Dr. Markus Cordt

Lawyer, entrepreneur and former employee of international corporations.

Before practising law, Dr. Markus Cordt worked for Deutsche Lufthansa AG and Sanofi-Aventis. He therefore knows the employee perspective not only from legal files, but also from his own professional experience in large international companies.

An English-language MBA complements his legal training. In addition to the law firm, he owns and manages a medium-sized service company and is therefore personally familiar with personnel responsibility, operational decisions and the employer perspective.

This combination is particularly valuable where legal, economic and professional interests have to be considered together.

Andreas Stubbe

Lawyer and certified specialist in employment law with experience from established corporate environments.

Andreas Stubbe worked at Amadeus Fire and Merck before joining the firm. His background combines employment-law expertise with an understanding of personnel structures and decision-making processes in larger organisations.

As a certified specialist in employment law, he focuses on precise legal analysis and practical solutions for employees, employers and senior personnel.

Principles

Legal advice built around a clear and realistic objective

A reliable strategy connects the legal position with the economic value, practical risks and the client’s intended outcome.

Clear legal assessment

The contractual position, applicable statutory rules, relevant deadlines and procedural options are identified before strategic decisions are made.

Commercial and professional perspective

Legal options are assessed together with financial consequences, business objectives and the client’s future professional position.

Individual strategy

The appropriate approach depends on the client’s role, factual situation and intended outcome rather than on standardised solutions.

Transparent communication

The legal position, available options, risks and next steps are explained in a structured and understandable manner.

Employment-law deadlines can be short

In particular, a dismissal in Germany may trigger a three-week deadline for bringing a claim before the labour court. Relevant documents should therefore be reviewed promptly.

  3. 03

    Strategic recommendation

The available options are prioritised and translated into a clear course of action.
